Update on Leo

After surgery, Sandy went to go pick up Leo from the vet. He said that Leo would be lethargic and he would be out of it for a couple of days. What do vets know????? As soon as Leo saw Sandy he started jumping around and he was excited to see him!!! Poor puppy, we do this to him and he still loves us!

The vet gave us some pills that he has to take for five days!!!! I never knew there was Loratab for dogs!!!

Also, poor Leo has to wear "the cone" for the next 10 days!!!! He looks like a handicap dog and it doesnt help that he runs into everything with that thing on!!!!

I still think he's the cutest dog in the world though!!! Just look at him.... :)

My poor Leo is going into surgery tomorrow. It's nothing serious...he is just getting neutered! I just feel so bad and sad for him!!!!

So far I love working for DCFS....no complaints so far...i have seen and heard a lot of things and it has not scared me off one bit....this is so my career path....

Anyways...it's nice to have Fridays off. This past weekend my Sandy, Henry and Heather decided to take a random trip to Vegas....it was nice to get away and despite the cold weather, I had so much fun.....here are some random pictures...

The best first day of work...

I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning only to find this waiting for me in the bathroom...

I was scared at first because I was half awake and then I realized what it was...so of course I opened it and these were some of the things that were in it....

He also got me my favorite pen ( Pilot gel pen), Starbucks coffee, and the sweetest card ever. Isn't Sandy such the sweetest guy ever???? Today was my first day at my new job as a case worker and he bought me all those things that really really mean a lot to me. He bought me the super cute notebook so I could take intricate notes while in training; He bought me coffee because he knew I would be waking up at the crack of dawn from now on; he bought me chocolate so I could stay awake throughout the day. I could not ask for a better person in my life!!! He knows me sooo well.

The best part was the card. it said so many things and it reassured me that I am doing the right thing with my career. I have been nervous about this position for a very long time, but Sandy has always been by my side encouraging me. I have doubted myself for so long with my career path but Sandy was always there to help me through it and now I finally made it!!!! ( sort of) I finally got my "foot in the door" I have worked so hard to get the experience that I need to get where I am at today and it has finally paid off...just like Sandy said it would!!!!

That man is wonderful and I am so thankful everyday that he is in my life. I know for a fact that I would not be the person that I am today without him....

I can not wait until we are officially husband and wife....

( o yes, I do realize that I almost never update this thing....I will try harder next time!)

5k and hiking

I finished another 5 k this morning. Thats my second one this summer!!! I am really happy and have to thank Katie and Tica for motivating me to do this. I also finished my original time by 8 minutes! I am sure there will be many more runs to come..

I also went hiking right after the run with brit, randy, alex, sandy, katie, and tica. it was a small group but it was really fun. we hiked up to donut falls and it was really beautiful. I will eventually have the pictures uploaded and on here...

i am now extremly sore and i think i pulled my hamstring...but it was all worth it...the pain no gain right???

I have slacking off lately on this blog thing...thought i would update...

I am super excited for my first 5k!!!! It will held at Sugarhouse Park and it will be for Domestic Violence and Suicide. Both very good causes and if you know me, you know that I am a strong advocate for both. ( clarification: not that I condone both; I am an advocate against it...make sense?)

I have never done a 5k at all and so this is a new challenge for me. I am very up to this challenge.

Since January, I have made a goal to work out at least 3-4 times a week and for the most part I have kept that goal. I am very proud of myself. and in the process I have lost 10 lbs!!!! hard work, patience, persistance, does pay off. I still want to shed 10 more pounds and I will be at my ideal weight!!! I am so more motivated than ever to accomplish this

Ok back to the 5k...Sandy, Frank, and Hanh Nghi will be doing the 5k with me. All of them are so sweet for doing this with me. I am truly lucky to have people in my life that dont flake out and support everything I do....

I have also set another goal for myself. Before I turn the age of 30, I want to do a marathon!!!! People dont believe me, but I think, I know, that I can accomplish this goal. marathons are tough and people that do marathons are so amazing. I hope one day that I can build enough endurance to last.

I want to do half marathons for a couple of years first and then tackle on the big marathon!!!

Fitness guru???? no...just want to keep fit and have a goal worth telling people about...

The closer it gets to the end of March, the sadder I feel....

why? Because I am quitting my job...i really like my job, i like the company, the people...so why am i quitting?

because I need to...i think part of the reason for me feeling like this is probably because i am comfortable where I am at. There is nothing wrong being comfortable...but i feel like i need a challenge!

ughh....my indecisiveness and lack of adventure is making feel all this....
